Here is a back roads drive that will take you
through great country on winding roads every season of the year.
There are lots of options depending on where you start and where you
are going or if you are just out for a cruise on your bike.
If you are starting from White Cloud take the Echo Road going west
toward Jugville. Past Robinson Lake head south to Wooster and
then take the main road to Rte. 120. Head south and take the
small side road headed west called B-86. This road becomes
very scenic as it reaches and crosses the White River. You
will end up at Rte. 31,the main road along Lake Michigan.
The second half of this trip ending at Whitehall passes just north
of Fremont. So if you are headed north out of the Grand Rapids
area, you could take this as a side trip and still hit any of the
major north - south highways. It doesn't sound like much and
the whole drive is only an hour but there is pretty country close
by.
