Michigan up north is a full of spectacular waterfalls that are easy
to reach for a Michigan weekend getaways. We are working with
two excellent Michigan photographers to bring you a selection of
Michigan waterfalls and some beautiful drives to get there.
You
are on a Michigan road trip through the Upper Peninsula
and decide to take U.S. 41 up into Copper Country.
As you pass through Baraga County just south of Alberta
you will see a road side park that is simply named
Canyon Falls Roadside Park. Even if you only have
15 minutes to spare it would be a mistake to pass this
one up.
There are actually 3 falls here that
are approached along a winding trail through thick
forest. The walk is worth it alone as you can
easily imagine that you are seeing this as it was 150
years ago. If you are in shape and have good
balance there is plenty to explore at the end of the
trail. In any event, this is a wonderful 20
minute break on any road trip.
