Michigan up north is a full of spectacular waterfalls that are easy
to reach for a Michigan weekend getaways. We are working with
two excellent Michigan photographers to bring you a selection of
Michigan waterfalls and some beautiful drives to get there.
Manganese
Falls is just an easy walk from the road but you can't
really see it until you reach the end of the trail.
Located just south of Copper Harbor, this makes for a
nice break after a trek through the
Estivant Pines.
Just south of Lake Fanny Hoe is the entrance.
Follow the trail and don't cross the rail fence line as
the gorge is deep and the walls are steep. In the
deep silence you can hear the water burble and trickle
gently down a 40+ foot drop.
Manganese Falls is just one of the natural wonders in
this area. Take a little time to stop here and
refresh as you take in the awesome beauty of this part
of Michigan.
