The Thumb Drive, Michigan

If you are looking for a beautiful drive any time of year that is close to our largest population areas, M-25 from Lexington through Port Sanilac, Harbor Beach, Grindstone City and into Port Austin is tough to beat.  In late autumn the trees will blow you away with the range of colors.  As you go along you will see beautiful Lake Huron through much of the trip.  This drive is so beautiful in every season that you have to remind yourself to keep your eyes on the road.

There are several Terrific Towns along the way.  A great spot for a break is at the Lake Street Emporium in Port Austin.
