By the time you pass the first bridge you will leave the everyday world behind and enter a world of stunning beauty offered by mother nature.
This ladies slipper was just a few feet from one of the bridges on a path along the stream.
Hiking trails are always a great part of any northern Michigan vacation.

Locally known as the jewel of Kalkaska County, the Seven Bridges
Park is just a few miles from town on the Valley Rd. near Kalkaska. The paths and
boardwalks are well groomed and the bridges are in excellent repair.
While a few miles from anywhere, this is one of my favorite 15 minute
vacations while traveling the back roads.
Eest of Rapid City on Valley Rd. about four miles you will see a small sign announcing, 7 Bridges Park. While it is easy to drive on by, don't do it. This is the Jewel of Kalkaska county. When you get out of your car the first thing you are aware of is the sound of tumbling water. Just a few feet down the rustic path you come to the first bridge.
This wonderful park is an easy walk for most anyone.
