WOODLAND HILLS NATURE PARK
OAKLAND COUNTY MICHIGAN WOODLAND HILLS NATURE PARK IS A HIDDEN TREASURE!!!
Ordinarily when we think about this part of Michigan we think about Detroit
and traffic and malls and automobiles, think again.
When you need a quick break from the hustle and bustle, or when you leave
the Ice Spectacular, head over to Farmington Rd. just south of I-696.
Woodland Hills Nature Park is 74 acres of walking trails. This park is
intended for nature observation only and even the pond is closed to ice
skating. In other words, it is so quiet you can listen to the birds while
you relax.
There are multiple trails from .3 miles to 1.7 miles including the
Wildflower, the Goldenrod, the Dogwood among others. The creek and pond are
at the far west end of the park but, it is still an easy stroll. There is no
camping and no recreational facilities.
A real treasure right in the middle of it all.
