pictured rocks - Up North Michigan
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is truly one of the great natural treasures up north in Michigan. Along its 42 miles of Lake Superior shoreline are over 15 miles of towering sandstone cliffs, more than 12 miles of beautiful beaches, and nearly five miles of enormous sand dunes. In addition, there are waterfalls, lighthouses, lakes, streams, and birch forests to explore.

Video tour of the Pictured Rocks taken from the tour boat. The tour is fantastic and lasts well over an hour.
Unlike any other place on Lake Superior, the towering sandstone cliffs of the Pictured Rocks are best seen from the water. This video shows just a few highlights from a tour that ran almost 2 hours.
