Rustic log cabins are as much a northern Michigan icon as anything
could be. There are more than 90 places to visit to tour
Michigan log cabins and Michigan is the only state with an official
Log Cabin Day.
Next time you are looking for an interesting trip with a little
history thrown in consider Michigan Log Cabins. You will find
them in urban Detroit and near the Porcupine Mountains.
Michigan rustic log cabins that once were schools, residences and
stores are now, in many cases historical museums.
You can visit Old Victoria near Ontonagon, the historical museum
in Port Sanilac, Old Bailey School in Harrisville, White Pine
Village near Ludington. There is an old log cabin returning to
nature north of Dowagiac and a wonderful restored cabin north of
Beaverton.
